For this project Los Angeles area projec, Olson Kundig Architects designed custom master bathroom hardware and medicine cabinets. McNae Design made multiple prototypes for the client before arriving at this final design. Water-jet cut parts were TIG welded with extreme care, and hand finished.
Designed by Olson Kundig and project engineered by McNae Design, these 1/4" plate stainless medicine cabinets had hidden functionality: Custom made magnetic latches, soft close, adjustable center pivot hinges and automatic light switches.
